On Wednesday, July 9, 2025, Dr. Phuwadee Toojinda, Director of the Digital Science Service Institute and Chair of the Science and Technology Information Coordination Center (STICC) Working Group, assigned Ms. Udomlak Wiengngam, Director of the Science Library, Dr. Tua Lapanukrom, Secretary and STICC Working Group member, to preside over the opening ceremony of the training and study visit.
The activity was held under the curriculum “Enhancing Science and Future Career Capabilities for the Development of Science, Technology, and Innovation (STI) Information Resources”.
It took place at the National Science Museum (NSM) in Pathum Thani Province, with the objective of upgrading the knowledge and skills of personnel in the STICC network from 31 organizations nationwide. The aim was to enable them to apply STI knowledge to the development and management of information resources, in order to create a strong information and learning service network, ready to adapt to changes in the future world. The activity was divided into two parts: the morning session consisted of listening to lectures on the topic… The morning session focused on “Creating Media and Activities for Science Communication in the Digital Age,” presented by distinguished speakers from NSM (National Science Museum Thailand). The afternoon session involved a field trip to two exhibition sections: Section 1, the Future Innovation Learning Center and Career Testing (Job World), which connects science and engineering and showcases over 27 model careers; and Section 2, the Innovation World exhibition, presenting innovative concepts in science and technology to improve quality of life and prepare for the future society.
This activity marks a significant step in developing the network of agencies under the National Science Museum Thailand (NSM) and inspires the promotion of a national knowledge base and the sustainable development of human capital in science, technology, and innovation (STI), aligning with NSM’s vision of being a knowledge center for national development in the 21st century.
