The Department of Science and Technology provides training and study tours to enhance capabilities in science and future careers, in order to develop a science, technology, and innovation information resource system and upgrade the knowledge and skills of personnel in the Science, Technology, and Innovation Network.

On Wednesday, July 9, 2025, Dr. Phuwadee Toojinda, Director of the Digital Science Service Institute and Chair of the Science and Technology Information Coordination Center (STICC) Working Group, assigned Ms. Udomlak Wiengngam, Director of the Science Library, Dr. Tua Lapanukrom, Secretary and STICC Working Group member, to preside over the opening ceremony of the training and study visit.The activity was held under the curriculum “Enhancing Science and Future Career Capabilities for the Development of Science, Technology, and Innovation (STI) Information Resources”.It took place at the National Science Museum (NSM) in Pathum Thani Province, with the objective of upgrading the knowledge and skills of personnel in the STICC network from 31 organizations nationwide. The aim was to enable them to apply STI knowledge to the development and management of information resources, in order to create a strong information and learning service network, ready to adapt to changes in the future world. The Department of Science Service held a meeting to discuss guidelines for linking the ST’I Single Search system with pilot agencies.

On Thursday, November 6, 2025, the Department of Science Service (DSS), through the Digital Science Service Institute, held the first meeting of 2025 on “Guidelines for Linking the ST&I Single Search System with Pilot Agencies” at the Institute's meeting room in the Dr. Tua Lapanukrom Science Library Building, Department of Science Service. Representatives from key pilot agencies, including the Department of Industrial Promotion, the Office of Industrial Standards, and the Department of Mineral Resources, along with project consultants, system developers, and researchers, participated in the meeting.The objective of this meeting was to foster a shared understanding of the guidelines for linking the information databases of various agencies to the central “ST&I Single Search” system, currently under development. The goal is to create a central channel for convenient, comprehensive, and secure access to national science, technology, and innovation information.Key details considered included data structure, metadata, and protocols; technical approaches for system linkage; and the collaborative roles of each involved agency.
